Information for incoming students

Application:

Students, who wish to study at the University of Petrosani as Erasmus students, must check first whether their home University has a bilateral agreement for student exchange with the University of Petrosani.

Deadline for application forms :

  • for the Autumn semester 15 of July
  • for the Spring semester 15 of December

Academic year structure:

Winter semester: beginning of October till the end of January, winter break starting before Christmas, Exams in February
Summer semester: February till mid June, Exams in June and July

National Holydays:
December 1st: National holiday
May 1st: National holiday

Accommodation:

Accommodation is possible in the student campus dorms. Prices are around 75-100 Euro / month.

Where to eat, cafeteria:

The university cafeteria offers quality meals to students for about 4 euro / meal.

Other fees and expenses:

The official currency is LEU (aka RON); 1 euro is around 4.6 Lei, check rates for accurate value.

INCOMING ERASMUS STAFF TRAINING/TEACHING MOBILITY

Internationalisation is one of the priorities of University of Petrosani. We are constantly interested in receiving visitors, in creating new contacts and in reinforcing the existing cooperation with our partners.

The Erasmus+ staff mobility programme offers excellent opportunities for acquiring innovative teaching methods and exchange of good practices, and contributes to professional development.

We are happy to welcome teaching and administrative staff visitors for training according to the rules of the Erasmus framework . If your university is on the list of partner universities under the Erasmus+ programme and you wish to spend a training period at our university, please contact your Erasmus Institutional Coordinator and see what the requirements are for you to apply for an Erasmus+ staff training grant at your institution. The duration of a training is between 5 days and 6 weeks.

For a good organization of your stay here, we kindly ask you to fill and send by e-mail the application form and fill the Mobility Agreement (Teaching/Training).
