Submission guidelines
Revista Minelor/Mining Revue (MinRv) is a quarterly publication, which publishes original articles on various aspects of the mining field.
In order for the articles to be published, it is necessary that they have not been previously published or that they are not being verified/published in another journal, the responsibility for the content of the papers belonging exclusively to the authors.
All articles must be sent electronically via email to mining-revue@upet.ro
Upon submission, authors are required to provide the following scanned documents:
- Declaration of Originality and Conflict of Interest: Signed by the corresponding author on behalf of all co-authors.
- Cover Letter: Briefly explaining the novelty of the work and its relevance to the mining field.
- CC BY-SA 4.0 Licensing Agreement: Confirmation of acceptance of the open-access terms.
The paper must be written in English, in MS-Word 2003 format or a newer one, according to the writing requirements. For this, please use the existing template.
Manuscript Requirements and Technical Standards
To ensure reproducibility and academic rigor, research-based manuscripts must adhere to the following standards:
- Methodology: Authors must provide exhaustive details regarding experimental setups, equipment models/manufacturers, and software versions used for simulations or statistical analysis.
- Data Presentation: All figures and charts must be submitted in high resolution (minimum 300 DPI). Tables should be provided in an editable MS-Word format, not as images.
- Results and Units: Results must be reported clearly using the International System of Units (SI). Discussion of results must include a comparison with previously published data to validate the findings.
Peer review
All articles will be reviewed by two independent reviewers, who come/work at a scientific institution other than the author’s/authors’, without a conflict of interest between the author/authors and reviewers, using a double-blind peer review. Neither the authors’ nor the reviewers’ identities are disclosed to one another.
Each submitted manuscript undergoes an initial evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief or a Managing Editor. At this stage, compliance with technical requirements, alignment with the journal’s scope and content originality (anti-plagiarism check) are verified. Manuscripts that do not meet the minimum standards will be rejected without being sent for peer review.
If the article passes the initial phase, the Editorial Committee appoints at least two independent reviewers. These are experts specialized in the manuscript’s field of research, from academic institutions other than those of the authors.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript using a review form, focusing on the following criteria: Originality and relevance of the research, methodological rigor, clarity of argument and quality of writing, accuracy of references. The review will include the reviewer’s observations and conclusions regarding the paper being reviewed.
The journal is committed to a timely publication process. The average time from initial submission to the first editorial decision is 3 weeks. Following the peer-review process (which takes approximately 10 days from the date the manuscript is sent to the reviewers), accepted manuscripts are scheduled for publication in the upcoming quarterly issue. Depending on the submission date and the journal’s four-issues-per-year frequency, the final article will be officially published and made available to the public within the next scheduled volume. Authors will receive periodic updates regarding the status of their submission via email
In the event of conflicting opinions between the two reviewers, the editor may seek the assessment of a third expert. The final decision may be: acceptance without revisions, minor or major revision (the author must address the reviewers’ comments), rejection (if the manuscript contains fundamental flaws).
The final publication decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the extent to which the authors have addressed the suggested revisions.
In the event that a submitted manuscript is authored or co-authored by a member of the Editorial Board, the peer review process and all editorial decisions shall be managed independently by another editor to ensure total impartiality.
Article processing charges
No fees are charged for the processing of the articles and for publication.

Authors who publish with this journal retain the copyright of their work. By submitting their manuscript, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right of first publication. Authors are also encouraged to deposit versions of their work (preprint, post-print, or publisher’s PDF) in institutional or other repositories of their choice, provided that the original publication in this journal is properly acknowledged.
Terms of Reuse and Obligations
Anyone academic or commercial reader accessing, sharing, or adapting the published material must comply with the following core conditions:
- Attribution: Users must give appropriate credit (author names, article title, journal name, volume, issue, publication year, and DOI/URL link to the original text), provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
- ShareAlike: If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original (CC BY-SA 4.0). You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
Author Warranties and Responsibilities
By submitting a manuscript to this journal, the authors warrant that the work is original, has not been published previously, and does not infringe upon the intellectual property or copyrights of any third party. Authors are solely responsible for securing written permissions to reproduce any copyrighted materials (such as images, figures, or tables) included within their manuscript before submission.
