Aims and scope

The Annals of the University of Petrosani, Mechanical Engineering publishes original scientific contributions in the broad field of Mechanical Engineering, including but not limited to ones related to the designing, manufacturing and operation of the mining machines in underground mines and open pits, mining mechanical installations, transports, equipment for industrial processes, machines building, hydraulic and pneumatic machines and industrial management, mechanics, strength of materials and mechanical vibrations. Besides theoretical, experimental, modeling and simulations articles linked to mechanical engineering, contributions in linked branches like Industrial and Transportation Engineering are welcome. Regular scientific articles, review articles and technical notes are all accepted.

Article Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a double blind review procedure. First, the editorial board checks the manuscript for compliance with research topics covered by journal. Suitable papers are sent to two independent external reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper.
The result of review process can be:
-Accept the manuscript without modification;
-Accept the manuscript with minor modification;
-Accept the manuscript with major modification;
-Reject the manuscript with the possibility to resend;
-Reject the manuscript.
The result of the review process is communicated to the first or corresponding author of the manuscript, with observations regarding the necessary corrections for improvement if the case. Plagiarism detection tools are also used to assess the originality of the paper.
